Terms of Service

Last updated 5 August 2026

These terms apply when your church subscribes to ChERP, operated by Appetite Technology. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of your church.

Your subscription

Plans are billed monthly in South African Rand and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. You may upgrade at any time; the change applies from the next billing date.

Accounts and access

Your church is responsible for the accounts it creates, the roles it assigns, and keeping sign-in credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

  • Only upload member information you are entitled to hold and process.
  • Do not use ChERP to send unsolicited bulk messages or to harass anyone.
  • Do not attempt to access another church's tenant, data or infrastructure.
  • Do not resell or white-label the platform without a written agreement.

Your content

Your church keeps ownership of every record it puts into ChERP. We use it only to provide the service. You can export your data at any time while your subscription is active.

Availability and support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. Support is provided by email, with response times depending on your plan.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from Settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period. We may suspend an account for non-payment or for a serious breach of these terms after giving notice where reasonable.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees your church paid in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes are communicated by email and in-app at least 30 days before they take effect.
